Entangled in the daily lives of her two teenage daughters and all the angst involved in that, Soledad finds a way to escape the daily persecution –jogging. She decides that jogging will help her lose a few pounds anyway as well as help her unwind. And so she sets out determined to jog no matter what the weather.
But then she inevitably has to head back home!
Drawn in a cartoony style and using, I’m guessing either ink wash or water colours, this is a book I’m sure quite a few people can relate to. Sadly, a few of the subtleties escape me –visual gags are okay but my French is not good enough to pick up on the humour in the text.
I believe Soledad Bravi has work on newspaper cartoons as well as childrens books. I’m guessing more of an appeal for women here.
