CLALLAM BAY - The Clallam Bay Comicon is being held for the sixth year
in Clallam Bay, on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula. Dates are
July 8 and 9, 2017. Admission is free.
Featured guest creative Diana Kennedy travels all the way from France
to share her comic books - including her horsepunk series, "Riverboat"
- graphic novels and hand-animated films with visitors, fans and
fellow comics creators.
Other creatives include Jake Richmond, with his charming Modest Medusa
series, about the adventures of a snake-tailed girl Medusa. Roberta
Gregory, of Naughty Bits fame - who has attended every Clallam Bay
Comicon - will return with her Cat Toon books.
LaPush's Aly Wolf creations will offer costuming and crowns. Science
fiction magazine "Combine" will also have a table.
Teaching and lecture events will include "Let's make a Crown," and
"The Nuts and Bolts of Steampunk." Guest Creative Diana Kennedy will
show her animated film "The Vosges Beast."
Comic shows are more and more like job fairs, and the creative people
are happy to share their experience to anyone who wants to get into
the business.
