When a particularly inept fairy in training accidentally arrives in Baghdad and mistakes Iznogoud for Prince Charming, it’s easy to expect a merry string of disasters.
And the unlikely pair don’t disappoint – fairy tales will never be the same again! Whether pulled through the looking glass or forced to demonstrate his many virtues, poor Iznogoud is, once again, going to suffer for our entertainment!
Looking at the old German Iznogoud strips -the old Valerian books, too- it's incredible how greatly printing has progressed. The colours here are so clear, the pages crisp. Someone told me that even the original French albums never had this great a quality of printing. But decades -oy!- have passed.
As you might expect, Iznogoud has plotting on his mind but things get quite...weird. "Zany" is a word we might have used back in "the day" (I visualise a Wednesday). This is really a great deal of fun even if on the cover Iznogoud reminds me of my old Rural Sciences teacher at school!!
Yeah, miserable sod that I am, I WILL recommend this!
