During a top secret electronic intelligence-gathering mission, an American F-22 stealth fighter is shot down by an unknown enemy.

Basran, the target nation, isn’t supposed to have weapon systems able to detect – not to mention hit – the pride and joy of the USAF.

So, who did? And how?

Buck and his team are soon tasked with a delicate, top-secret job: complete the downed plane’s original reconnaissance mission, and find out what happened to it – all that while flying Russian planes!

I have said it a number of times but this series is a must if you love very well drawn military hardware and militaria in general. In Europe Buck Danny is just as famous as that other air ace Dan Cooper and that says a lot.

There are the twists and turns you would expect in the newer Danny stories -I grew up with the earlier stories so I kind of have a nostalgia for those and the aircraft involved.  If you miss the old British war comics -if you are old enough to remember them- then try Buck Danny.  You may be pleasantly surprised!
