Well, something is going on.
Just looked at the figure for blog views and 90,000 have been lost. Nothing unusual with Blogger as every so often this happens which is why I keep a total from the dashboard and know that total all time views since 2012 is just over 9 million.
But something else is happening that is weird. Whether it is a tax avoidance thing or not I have no idea and Blogger never responds to any queries. Every so often the server seems to move; one point the country is Germany, the next France then Italy and so on and so forth so the url changes.
Look at the figure below for the last 7 days. Singapore is the top country visiting CBO whereas normally it doesn't show up. The United States is usually top view source and somewhere in the top 5 mix is the UK, Germany, France, Spain or another European country. I am not complaining -THANK YOU to the Singaporeans visiting! 😃- but it shows why aiming a post at a particular country or region does not work. Next week Singapore may vanish from stats and the USA is back on top. CBO has always had a world-wide audience (including those two views from Antarctica a few years back??).
Here are today's stats that show what I mean. America what have I done for you to spurn me??!!!! 😭😭😭 Ahem...anyway. For the last 7 days that's over 25 thousand (official) views and it is still mind boggling that blogs with less views get paying sponsors or items sent for review. I think I realised about 20 years ago that CBO would never make me rich!
Oh if only 1% of those 25 k people actually purchased one book from my online store - but I must not dive off into a world of fantasy! So blogger continues to do odd things and I am, just sorry that nothing ever gets sent from places like Singapore, Hong Kong or Japan to review but I guess there must be something I am doing right... right?
Have a good weekend!
Well, the people who visit your site appreciate what you've done. Seen and read all around the world ( I remember the 2 in Antarctica, too ! ) that's not bad. Keep on dishing out cool comics info, fun film promo videos, occasional crazy cryptid stories and terrific toy and figure bits ! Talking of cryptids, I've been looking into stories of the various 'kelpies' stories all over the UK ( under various regional names) and wondering at their similarities ( and differences ) to the Japanese 'kappa'. A world apart and yet so similar at points. Weird, eh ? Take it easy, Terry. Have a good Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWell 6000 views so far (1400hrs) from Singapore and 54 (???) from the USA. Concern is that something is up technically but as mere bloggers we are not allowed to ask and if we do...no response. Kelpies and Kappa's also have counterparts in other cultures and I think the message is "Don't go in the water"!! Take it easy
