PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO
Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.

As always Mr Cook is enjoying himself - indeed, 'toys refreshes your soul ', is about right ! But I do have a question about Lego toys... aren't they supposed to be incomplete ? Isn't part of the concept of Lego that you use your imagination to build your world ? Some of the ( few) Lego toys I've seen have been expensive, huge and complete ( the Millennium Falcon springs to mind )... but that doesn't lead to innovation and adaptation... so, perhaps the space on the backs of the Mechs is a good thing ? Add your own equipment or plus alpha ? Still, he's right. The set of 4 plus Vader looks fun... wonder how he'll photograph it ?
ReplyDeleteBasically Lego is not what it was. For a start unless you have a fair bit of money buying Lego for kids (and it is not really aimed at them any more) is way too expensive. They do cars and Star Wars kits and all with a smooth finish -as with the Darth Vader figure he has. This was either an oversight by Lego (really?) or deliberate to save having to add that one final piece. It does look awful and is similar to cheap made in China toys that have no paint on the rear of the figures and very large screw holes that slap your face when you look at the rear of the figure. It's al;l about saving on costs and adding the pennies. I'm cynical, though!
