PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.

Jack Kirby

Would have been 98 today.  I think people from my generation in comics will readily admit that Kirby was a major influence in art -as Lee was to comic writers.  But Kirby had a mind that must have been exploding with ideas we don't even know about.

He WAS The King

  1. The first Jack Kirby work I saw was 'Tales Of Asgard'. I won't go into the strangely vexed world of who was his best inker. Apparently tempers get raised! But, it's very interesting to see the Artist editions that have been published and also the Twomorrows' publications where his pencils are reproduced. Actually, I really, really like Joe Sinnott as his inker.
