PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.

  1. TV Comic. That was one of my regulars, in the postbox every Monday with John Canning drawing The Avengers - single page, and Doctor Who - which, although was on the cover in colour, and with some interior in black and white, migrated to the rear couple of pages solely in black and white. Canning veered towards caricature in his depictions. Peter Capaldi's memories are mainly of Doctor Who in black and white, feeling it's right for the period. I'm inclined to agree. Although, for curiosities sake, it's interesting to see some scenes colourized. It's not what I remember and feels out-of-period. I still have a large number of the comics. Some were destroyed by mice. Other invaders of a human variaty took a toll as well, some of my DC collection took damage from the latter. Neither were ever forgiven!
