PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.

Owl At The Moon....Maybe Not....

About three pages of full artwork today.  Touching up the wargaming buildings.  Dealing with wildlife stuff and then I had 1 hour to wait for something.  This is what happens.  The Owl as created by Martin Filchock for Centaur Comics in January, 1940.

Now I'm bored again.  sigh

  2. I like it. It has all the elements of a good story picture. It's like the title image of a short story. Looking at it gives me ideas. Whoi is the guy in the foreground; why is he grimacing/snarling. Why is the Owl just hovering there....what are the eyes in the tree trunk ? It's a board of possibilities.... hmmm....
