PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.
Thank You

Comic Bits -Magazine of British Comic Book History

As of today publishing of Comic Bits magazine has been suspended indefinitely. The only publication to look at British Penny Dreadfuls, Boys Paper, comics and their creators was published after a great deal of 'fan' support and bemoaning the fact that the UK had no such publication.

Nos. 1 and 2 appeared last summer and resulted in 3 sales. No. 3 has been completed and No. 4 was in preparation but will not now appear.  Each 80pp issue contained lots of art as well as a few rare to very rare photograph (something Black Tower has specialised in). That's 80pp for the (UK) price of £6.00 which is the bare minimum price it could be offered at to encourage those with an interest in the subject to purchase. £6.00 for a couple of months work with articles and information it might take you a year to find for yourself is not bad. However, 'fandom' is always very vocal but never willing to support.

If interest picks up in the future the title can be bought back to life but until then only the first two issues will remain available.
