It's The Unofficial First Justice League Movie -Look at The Title!

CNN can spout on for hours about nothing so its a surprise they never revealed more -there is a VERY strong rumour that the oddly titled Superman V Batman may have a  change of title before release.  Why? Firstly, the title implies one or the other is a baddy which, in comics we know would only be used as a reason to get the two to face off but the film is not for comic fans. It's to get "bums on seats" and...well, make money!

Secondly, we know the film will feature Wonder Woman, in one outfit or the other.  We also know that the character Cyborg will be in the movie.  Hey, even Aquaman will be in the movie and I hear a couple others may be added.

So why, you may ask, is this titled Superman V Batman and features Wonder Woman, Aquaman a Gr---oh no. No, no, no. Anyway, someone has called this the unofficial Justice League movie, getting the characters "out there" so to speak.  It's almost like saying "Folks, we were bringing you Superman versus Batman and then thought: Hey -let's give the fans what they want -THE JUSTICE LEAGUE!"

This is all "pure speculation" and...well, they can't have me killed.  They aint Disney.

Anyway, CNN has this to say:

"(CNN) -- The speculation appears to be over about yet another costumed hero set to join Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and the rest in 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Not only will Gal Gadot play Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher portray Cyborg, but now Jason Momoa ("Game of Thrones," "Conan the Barbarian") has been cast to play that crusader of the seas, Aquaman, according to Variety.

Warner Bros. Pictures is so confident that Aquaman will be a hit with audiences that they've already got an "Aquaman" movie in the works, Variety also reports.

In an unusual move, two writers -- Kurt Johnstad and Will Beall -- will each try their hand at separate "Aquaman" scripts.

The "Aquaman" movie is undoubtedly one of the nine movies based on DC Comics characters that Warner Bros. plans to release through 2020. (DC and Warner Bros. Pictures are owned by Time Warner, which owns CNN.)

As yet unknown is whether Momoa will don the famous orange and green costume (but don't bet on it, since we saw "Batman v. Superman's" new take on the Wonder Woman costume."

"Smoke and mirrors, Roy. Smoke and mirrors."

So who is in this movie?
 Henry Cavill as Superman
Ben Affleck -as Bruce Wayne/Batman -much maligned by fans before he has even acted in the role!
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.  Here's one for the comic nerds -Amazons were lesbians. She aint gonna be interested in Cavill nor Affleck but, maybe....nah.
Jason Mamoa as Aquaman sporting a very Terry Hooper look (SHUT UP!)
 Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
Diane Lane as...Clark Kent 'mother'.  Are you kidding me??? Maybe as Lois Lane though I may be prejudiced there.  Clark Kents mother....honestly.
Jesse Eisenberg as...Lex Luthor....!  An actor whose name means "ice berg" and we know what they do to ships, right?
Laurence Fishburne stars again as Perry White. Oh I do so hope casting a black actor as a character surnamed "White" was meant to be ironic.
Jeremy Irons as...Alfred the butler.  Come on -they couldn't offer Michael Caine enough money???

Holly Hunter as....well, she is signed up to do the movie but nothing on who she plays. My snippet, not that you ought to listen to what I write, Wonder Womans mother? Hmm?

Who plays Green Arrow and Green Lantern?

So it looks....interesting. Sorry, everyone but I just cannot get excited about this.  I'm too old and comic weary to give a crap how they mess about with comic characters in movies.  They aint comic characters -they are MOVIE characters.

Off to eat.....chase mailmen and write comics....in that order.

  1. Well, Eisenberg doesn´t really mean ice berg ( that would be Eisberg ) but more iron berg. But I think it would have the same effect on a boat.....if it was big enough.

  2. Yeah, I KNOW that but I was going with the flow and everyone out there probably thought "Oooh. That was a clever play on words!" now its ruined. I may just need to cry myself to sleep....or read a comic! ;-)
