"1987"

"1987"

That's how, if I ever find anyone even remotely interested in Chinese comics to talk to, I refer to this title.

Its full of different art styles but no word balloons, just text -rather like the early British comics.
I picked this, and other examples, up when visiting China Town in London to replenish my supply of ink and Chinese brushes in the 1980s.  I have other samples "somewhere" but its finding them!

I'm assuming that this is from the Peoples Republic of China (someone will now tell me its from Hong Kong); I also assume that 11 and 1987 refer to issue number and year.  But what is the title -Fu Chun Jiang Hua Bao?

Can anyone identify?

STYLISH!

Without a doubt a very stylish page of artwork; quite advertising originated in style.

Certainly would like to know more about this!

EVEN MORE STYLISH!

Stylish but in a different way. This looks very much like a series of panels produced not using ink and brush but more like charcoal. Look at the smudging effects, etc..

We really do need to find out more about these comics and the creators!
