 Norman Lee

Norman Lee, a Weymouth comic book artist, in 2014.
Gary Higgins/The Patriot Ledger
CAYMAN ISLANDS —A well-known comic artist from Weymouth disappeared Thursday while snorkeling in the Cayman Islands.

Officials said they received a report at 11:21 a.m. Thursday about a missing snorkeler off East End.
They said Norman Lee, of Weymouth, was snorkeling with his wife off Reef Resort East End, but became separated about 250 yards from shore.

Lee's wife returned to shore, but he remains missing.

Several search crews, including helicopters and dive teams began to look for Lee, but he has not been located.

Lee started in the comic-art business about 20 years ago. He worked on “Avengers,” “Spider-Man,” “Iron Man” and “X-Men” comic books.

UPDATE

Sadly, the search has been called off.  Apparently currents in the area are very strong so the CG do not expect to find/recover Lee's body yet.

Very sad and my sympathy goes out to his family..
