Here is my take on all of it. Ignore it. Quite seriously, Jim Lee has revealed NOTHING new. Lee's interview with the Hollywood Reporter was just a publicity shoot to keep the share-holders happy. No follow-ups to answers to questions (which is normal) and put a heavy spin on things.
These video bloggers with the "knowledge" or "insider info": they are acting as mouthpieces for DC. There is a slight negative angle but then -boom: everything is still okay.
Over and over the same lines used and the same spin and "personal thoughts". Not scripted but, basically, reading from a set of "This is what you have to say". Claims DC will stop publishing comics by 2021 "Never. They'll continue going strong". That the same key word phrases are used is a strong indicator that you are listening (I was much happier writing this phrase before Trump) to fake news.
Now, most people will subscribe to one or two of these channels so they hear A say what B said proves B is write. All confirmed: 100% accurate. If you check out and listen to 3, 4, 5 or 6 channels you hear "ping" after "ping". No, I have not checked out that uh, "Cool" site to see what is said there.
There ARE gagging ordersd at DC. AT&T are keeping things close to the board room and there are rumours -not mentioned on these 'news' sites- of top jobs getting new people. More titles targetted to go and how DC has to trim down to sell only "profit books" because "They answer to a big corporation now" and money needs to be made. Ass-head statement: DC like every other comic company IS/WERE always businesses to make money.
You are not going to hear anything exclusive on these sites.
After a couple hours of hearing the same thing I gave up.
Do NOT be fooled.
