I'd need to get my German comic discs out as I have a lot of Wascher on those. He's 80(?) now. There is a Lambiek page on him...I'm too bashful to mention Lambiek has a page on me...I'll put that in the posting!
Thanks for the video. Not only is it cool to see his evolution over the years, there was also a link to a YouTube video where someone has gone to the trouble of turning a SIGURD comic into an audio play. Terrific !
It's surprising how little there is about HRW on the net. About ten years ago there were a LOT of sites but they all seem to have vanished. How can that be? I know there are going to be some, particulary little groups in Germany, who will belittle HRW work -I've encountered them - but he should get more net time. He's...82(?) now and I think he really needs to get an invite to a big German comic con -I did have photos of a Wascher...ah. Just found the fan site. I know for the 50th anniversary of Sigurd there was what we would call today "cosplay". One of us has to do an article on him! I still want to do my "Crisis" style comic with Wascher characters!!
Great - nice to see someones work mature over the years. Definitely a gifted guy... any more exmples ?
